@Rene Your jest fully appreciated. No offence taken. Apologies for delay in replying here. Lunch (frikadellen and small bratwurst) and cracking good game of snooker intervened. Also had to shorten pair of those last-forever German moleskin military “combat” trousers. Incredibly hard-wearing, untearable, will boil off any stains (messy cook!) and just so comfy to wear (especially with braces). Now cooking – messily – in new strides. Only un-German thing today – chilli con carne!
