Generally I think the scheme is good and is “fit for purpose” (I dont like that term). The number of cars dropping off the scheme isn’t good but I do think they will return once the car industry sorts itself out. Until then I’ll wait and see.
Its interesting looking at that price guide from 10 years ago. There is always talk of AP’s being too high and how good the choice used to be but some of the AP’s in 2011 were absolutely ridiculous!
If motability didn’t do stupid deals for things like Range Rover sports with an AP that just said “POA” (so outrageous that we can’t even bring ourselves to put a number on it) then it might not have come under so much fire and we might have still been benefitting from a greater choice today (assuming there wasn’t a global chip shortage)
