Hi Disgruntled
Must admit that has really got my Goat this year with the rises in the cost of adaptions.
I pay over a £k for adaptions plus a premium for auto gearbox and was sort of happy paying £290 for a hoist but on this half yearly price list its £590 though I suppose I have to be thankful that my remote control steering ball has remained at £445 the past year.
When I asked Motability about a grant for the hoist they said I would not get one because the one I’ve got is perfectly serviceable and I said “yes it is but you won’t let me transfer it to the new car without paying the installers more than the £590 for a new one” and this was met with stony silence.
The car costs and delivery problems are effecting everyone so we perhaps need to sit that storm out but I’m finding it very hard to believe Motability have our interest in mind when I see adaptions cost rising at unbelievable over inflationary rates.
