Story in today’s motoring section of the MailOnline says Tesla are shipping car’s without USB ports due to the chip shortage.
That’s ridiculous.
I could understand if something big like some camera functionality, or radar stuff would be impacted (like Mercedes removing the augmented reality stuff from their sat navs) – but USB ports?
Christ. Next year this time we’ll start exchanging ideas on how to set the idle on our carbureted engines because we don’t have chips for complicated injection/ECUs anymore.
