    That said.. What kind of engine is in that XC40? Under 30mpg does sound ridiculous, almost worse than a 36mpg diesel.

    We dropped in the last few days from average 44mpg to 40mpg (1.5 TSI DSG). Since introduction of E10, we’ve filled the tank multiple times, so if it was true that 5% ethanol increase consumption by 15% (which is impossible, physically), it would’ve kicked in sooner.

    The only thing i noticed, and i don’t even know if that is related to E10 or our car just had an “off-week”, is that after filling it for the first time with E10, it didn’t run as well, with slight hesitation at the lights etc – i don’t know if the engine management works like Holley EFI etc where it needs to “train” a fuel change to adjust the fueling table, might be just my imagination.
