We test drove a vw touran on 10/12/20, it got ordered on the 11/12/20, but couldn’t have colour we wanted, so we chose black from a chose of 4. Before agreeing to order one, we were told delivery would be feb/March 2021. Then we’re given April 23rd delivery date by the dealer. Visited the dealer a week before April delivery as we had not heard anything from them. We were told that the vehicle was getting built that week and were given a delivery date of 5/6/2021. They contacted us a week before that date to say that there was a 6week delay at factory. We were told we would get updates every 2 weeks, after 5 weeks got another call to say, it’s going to be another 12 weeks for delivery, which would make it November delivery. With again 2 weekly updates. Never happened. Visited dealer in September as the track your order had been removed from the dealer website. Stood for 20 mins with our daughter, got tired of waiting, so left. Immediately rang vw customer service, who we’re actually no help at all. Apart from escalating my complaint to the dealership. The following day, dealer contacted us, to say that the build week would be week 47, 22/11/21, and then 3/4 weeks handover to us ???♀️. And so it goes on…and on. By the way this is our 1st motorbility vehicle. In the mean time we have had to buy an automatic car, to keep us on the road.
