no doubt some dealers are not really interested in motability, especially if they are selling well retail. but some are good no matter what, so if you get a bad dealer, try elsewhere is the way.
last month my nearest bmw dealer were quite frankly not interested. i left a number to get a call back. a week after i rephoned and they said the specialist is off ill.. they will get someone else to phone me… Im still waiting(and they had right number)
i tried another bmw dealer and they couldnt have been more helpful and offered me a lookaround etc..
so its shop around really.
