Recently got a car as an ex motability car from an auction. Audi a1. I’ve been told the tracking on the car is slighly off which is causing the car to push to the left slightly. Does anyone know if this is an easy garage fix? ive contacted a local garage but my message was ignored and google just talks about car trackers as in location trackers.
Good chance it’s been curbed in its lifetime …..can you see any sign of damage to the wheel rim or the spare wheel if it has one (quite often a damaged road wheel is stuck in the boot )?
As a retired mechanic I would first check tyre pressure all round , if problem is the same swap front wheels side to side (this covers if the rim or tyre is defective).
with the car jacked up and the front wheels off the ground, spin the wheel see if the brakes are sticking, if yes could be a brake Caliper problem.
what’s out of your hands is wheel alignment and it’s a black hole who to trust to do a good job, I would say an establishment independent garage is your best bet .
Last thought…it could of had crash damage but let’s hope not ??
