I had a puncture in Devon a couple of weeks ago, 70+ miles away from my home in Bristol. It was 930 pm. I called motability RAC and they eventually sent out a local contractor, who was unable to mend the tyre due to damage to the sidewall. Unfortunately he left the lid off of the tyre sealant bottle and it has leaked all over the boot!
He advised me that the RAC gad no capacity to tow me home, so I called motability again and they arranged for a taxi to collect me and take me home. Eventually got home at 230 am!
The car was collected the next day and recovered to a local quick fir, and delivered back to me the following Wednesday. The main inconvenience was not having a car Saturday to Wednesday. I’m glad they arranged a taxi home for me – at one point it was looking like I may have to sleep in the car,
