ajn – I know what is suitable (we’ve tried pretty much most cars) but none are affordable. Motability were not helpful as the Karoq sort of meets my needs (with some mucking about – I would struggle to be independent and use it every day – good day is fine, middling day I need some help getting my legs in, bad day I need someone to get my legs in and my legs and body out), they advised extending the lease and then they might help with a grant.

Another advisor when actually extending the lease, did say to try again as they may have not understood the sort of with help scenario. I’m in the thinking about doing that stage but did the extension to give me some thinking/saving time.

To be fair, it is a pretty small pool of cars that are suitable as it comes down to not just the height of the vehicle but also the width of the doors and the clearance over the rim with a boot big enough and can still seat 4-5 people regularly.
