Answering my own question as Jacippit had already said above, the Podpoint tethered does have a 7.5m cable. If I get the BP Pulse I will need to buy a 7m cable, which I think will cost £200+.
Also I forgot to say I did ring Motability to ask if there was any assistance available with the BP Pulse application or any alternative to BP (e.g. Podpoint) and they said no to both, just told me to ring BP customer services. I did get the impression they’ve been inundated with similar queries.
