Starts grey this a.m. Only 15C but said to rise, like yesterday, to 19C so should hit 24-ish here. Be nice if the sun could see its way to come out. It certainly brought out plenty yesterday p.m. Some ant nests decided to swarm and filled the sky with potential queens. This attracted a huge flock of gulls of all types. Hundreds in sky all afternoon from 100ft to about 500ft covering an area well over a mile across. Just wheeling about and munching away. Occasional murmurations of starlings joining in too.
“Bill’s Motha’s” is a phrase I’ve only ever heard from Mrs T who says it was in common use in and around Brum geological ages ago. Great to hear a bit of local idiom. Shall repeat it to myself as I wander up the twitten!
