Joss, motability don’t give a toss. Try it yourself… response is sadly that they don’t see these instances as discriminatory, the dealers can choose whom they sell the car to, they’re doing so for a multitude of reasons, none of which are based on disability. They are a for profit dealership, not a charity or trust for the disabled. It’s a poor situation that only harms perception among scheme users, but let’s face it, they can sell to those who earn them more profit, that’s not discrimination. We need to stop throwing around the discrimination card in these situations, it’s absolutely sh*tty behaviour from the dealers; We do ourselves no favours by labelling something incorrectly.
