Motability is not an environmental charity. It’s aim is to keep disabled people mobile. For as long as there is a choice, all forms of vehicles should be available – ICE and EV. The choice should replicate what is available outside of the scheme. Over time that will naturally mean more and more EV’s, but Motability should not give priority to any one type of car as, by default, that would mean others which may be far more suitable for people’s needs become harder / more expensive to get, which contradicts the schemes objectives.
This forum really should be renamed ‘whichelectricmobilitycar’. Over half the threads these days are related to EV’s.
