    Its great to see new technology coming through but how long it will take to filter down remains to be seen. Also a 500kw charger, most of them in this country are 50kw and wont be changed in a hurry.

    This Government has only just thought about disabled drivers and public charging, this should have happened years ago. They are currently asking for opinions before introducing regulations in 2022, possibly. This means the rush to update the electric highway (ex ecotricity charging stations), supermarkets putting in charge points etc can do so without any need to consider disabled drivers and access issues, etc. Indeed I contacted Gridserve (the operator of the electric highway) and asked them what they are doing for disabled drivers. Was told new builds will have access for disabled drivers, but refurbished stations are limited by the current infrastructure. This in my opinion is a dodge to avoid spending money to correct the mistakes of the past, and without legislation it wont change.
