Excellent point Adrian. All cars seem fantastic at first, especially if it’s your first brand new car. There’s always a sense of excitement and inevitably your new car has swanky new features that weren’t on your last one. It’s only when you’ve lived with a car for a decent time that the novelty wears off and you start to see the downsides. All cars have them, unless you have the most rose coloured spectacles! That’s why I listed the downsides with the Tiguan that we handed back last week. People can get carried away with the long list of standard equipment that some cars have (as we did with the Tiguan), but that’s only part of the picture as some manufacturer systems don’t operate as well as others.
