    I really think the whole charging system should be under Government control. Rather than 5 or 6 different charging companies. With one pricing structure form Land’s End to John O’Groats.

    Theoretically two, gridserve and CYC/CPS with instavolt as a fallback (no app needed) but that’s a perfect world where everything works.

    The problem with charging being under government control is petrol stations aren’t,  and if we want a like for like experience we need a marketplace with choice and competition. I agree that a centralisation of standards (maintenance, charging, access etc) across the EV charging structure would be a big help in the uptake of EV’s, and it would also give government an inroads into recouping the lost revenue from fuel sales
