Ok thanks Julie, I don’t doubt it
Have you been made to feel belittled or less knowledgable than others on the forum? Trying to connect the dots here to work out why you posted it. I agree wholeheartedly about the sales reps behaviour, shocking!
No problem here, Tim, just at the Rapid chargers & as EVs moved from early adopters to taxi drivers we saw the change in behaviour but soon educated the taxi driver crowd that their cars could be taken off road too easily for them to be causing trouble (think tyre valve removal tool).
Now we are seeing sales reps in their company EVs starting to use the chargers & a few female EV drivers I’ve spoken with have mentioned that they’ve had these sales reps standing over them trying to get them to end the charge, or simply pressing the stop button & removing the charge lead whilst they driver has been there.
I experienced this behaviour when I was at Chieveley Moto last week, but this week no problem as I had my sister, her bf, & her son with me. However, this week I had a woman in the Leaf next to me mention that she’d been having problems with the sales reps too.
The solution will be more chargers (Newbury has 6 more rapids & 5 are working but all off the M4/A34), but in the meantime people could at least be civil & not resort to intimidating women (and no doubt disabled too).
