This might not apply to you, but a family friend has made a “swivel arm”, around 2.5m long. I think you can even buy them. It of course depends on your situation/space, but check if there’s any way to go over the sidewalk, rather than on top of it.

Of course doesn’t need to be that fancy, our friend simply made an arm that extends over the sidewalk that he “hangs” the cable on, but at least it could be an alternative.
Hell, if you’re parking next to a lamp post, i’d just zip tie a hook to it and find another place on the “house side” where i could zip tie another hook to. Janky? Absolutely. But probably still safer than having it across the sidewalk.
