Remember, the range of cars on the scheme is also down to the manufacturers choice. Some favour Motability, others don’t.
For example, I’m going to guess that Volvo pulled the non hybrid XC40s from the scheme because they don’t need Motability sales as the factory is at capacity and they can make their money elsewhere. And it kept the hybrid on because maximising hybrid sales helps them meet their EU mandated Eco targets.
