If someone can afford the car they want, what exactly is the point of Motability for them?
Motability is trying to help people who CAN’T afford a car (or the running cost connected to it). Or, to be more blunt, Motability is supposed to help disabled people getting more independent. Not for a wealthy person who can afford the car anyway to exploit by saving on insurance/maintenance on their Jaguar.
This puts genuine customers of Motability in the firing line, as it happened in the past.
