My first car was an Astra GTC and I only noticed it when ‘window shopping for cars’ because the first one I saw in the show room was bright yellow and looked fabulous. But as I’d only just passed my Driving Test I decided a Look at me! car was not a good idea for a new driver. Ended up getting one in ‘Don’t look at me’ black instead. Followed by one in ‘Slightly too dark’ green. Current Golf GT is in ‘Ever so boring’ grey.
Next one (hopefully) will be a Ford Puma Vignale in Desert Island Blue or Mini Countryman in BRG – probably all over, unless the roof and bonnet straps are a free option, in which case I might go with a black roof and straps. Or, as an outside bet, a SEAT Leon in Mystery Blue.
But no more blacks and greys.
