That’s the way thing are with Motability I’m afraid to say, they have rules that seem to go against what we may think is a good ideal but, rules are rules.
It’s the same for dash-cams that they only allow if fitted by the dealer who supplied the car adding hundreds of £’s to the cost and yet the first question they ask if there an accident is “do you have any dash-cam footage”.
I don’t know anything about rim protectors but if it’s an assessory like a dash-cams that I have in my car that were not dealer fitted they can very easily be removed if need be and no one would be the wiser.?
But yes your right some of these things are sent to try us and as far as I know Motability don’t give a hoot about minor damaged to the car as the GCB goes to prove by the state of some cars that are returned and still qualify.
