Hi, What is everyone’s experience with cancelling an order. I placed an order last week for a Countryman, but having second thoughts… I’m considering making the EV jump and going to for Kona ….seems a no brainer for £499. Thankd
I’ve never done it, but it’s dead easy. Just tell the dealer that you have changed your mind and wish to cancel. You are under no obligation to go ahead with the order until you enter your PIN on the day of delivery. Hopefully you didn’t pay a deposit or pay up front for any optional extras? If you have it’s a tiny bit more complicated as you need to get your money back. Some dealers play silly buggers over this, but the customer is Motability Operations and not you, so you have not entered into any form of legally binding contract, so they have to refund you. In the current climate, with prolonged delays on new car orders, another customer will bite the dealers hand off for your order slot.
