Looks to me the initial road tax and later years including the 5 year annual supplement on higher price cars all falls under VED so none of it would be payable for disabled drivers (in receipt of PIP mobility payment).
Correct. No Road Tax payable on any Motability cars, so that cannot be used as a reason to excuse the lack of choice! The X1 we have just ordered is £41,800 once the options are added. The VED surcharge for all cars over £40k applies to the OTR price, not what the customer actually pays, so if Motability were going to incur an additional £1,350 tax over the 3 year lease I think they would have stopped us from ordering it!
