What he said about the 4 clear days is correct, at least. That’s exactly what I was told – Something to do with Motability and the insurance paperwork.
It sounds to me like there was some kind of cock up with your paperwork in the beginning, hence why they got you back to sign some documents, and that put a delay on ordering your car maybe.
Again though, I’d wait another week before making any more ‘serious’ enquiries.
I applied for my in-stock car last Tuesday and I’ve just had a phone call to arrange a pickup next Tuesday – So that will be an exact two week turnaround.
Given the 4 days at dealership required before the handover, that means the car itself is probably arriving there today or tomorrow, meaning it took 8-9 days for delivery for an ‘available’ car.
By this time next week, given what you’ve said/they’ve said – You really should at least have been given a date to go and pick it up. Unless there’s been an issue, which they should be open and honest with you about really.
