Any additional options you put on a vehicle are indeed paid for out of your own pocket but you do not need to inform Motability as they have nothing to do with that, it’s between you and the dealer, also if for any reason your lease is cancelled/cut short you would lose those extras and receive nothing back for them financially either. If you were to have to end the lease early in the case of a faulty vehicle that can’t be fixed etc you would get any advance payment back pro rata.
