Know what you mean about engine size and output. My 2.0L mini Cooper S puts out around 190bhp, which is more than twice the early Rover 3.5L V8 and still less than the last 4.0L models. Similarly with my previous car – 2.0L Skoda Superb petrol four-pot: 240bhp and would outperform many sports cars from only a decade before. I used to worry about over stressing small capacity engine but they seem to handle almost anything and I ain’t doing the mileage anyway. Still reluctant to use the launch control though – handbook has dire warnings!
