Hopefully, this is just temporary whilst they review the new OLEV grant rules. My new car falls well out of the new price band, but the cars built, Motability have approved the order and I am due to collect in a fortnight, I’ve just logged into my Motability account and still showing as approved, plus have the letter to confirm that the Veterans Agency have approved the Grant, will be gutted if it falls through.
You should be absolutely fine with your order as they’ve accepted it so it’s already a legal contract.
It’ll be any new orders that haven’t been processed yet that get into a possible limbo state, & going onwards the cars that are over £35k won’t attract the £2500 electric car subsidy so will either become very expensive on the scheme, disappear from the scheme for a while, or, disappear until the manufacturers reduce the price to just under the cap (likely for the Peugeots/Citroens/DS3s/Vauxhalls). Some cars that are already under the cap will likely reappear very quickly but may be in very high demand for a while.
