You can always use the granny charger like i have, been waiting for the wall charger fitting now since November 2020 and its still on going. BP are an absolute joke and place hurdles in the way every time an issue is resolved, almost like they dont want to install them.
I charge mine when it gets to 50% and it takes just over night to take it back to 100% so you could do this at your partners no problems as it connects to a normal 13amp plug socket.
