Good news there Mike 700. From 1 year to 3 years is perfect. Regarding auto boxes only. Did you tick that box on the medical form? That you need an automatic because of your mobility problems? I sent mine in this week. I hope it does not take 14 months lol. I was on a 3 year medical licence because I was on insulin for my diabetes. This time, I am no longer on insulin and back on tablet control. Hoping for a 5 year licence this time around.
It certainly is good news, – I honestly can’t remember if I ticked any particular box, but I may have done- but as I have ‘chosen’ to drive automatics for the last 20 years or so, making it ‘official’ really is of no concern to me, especially as I have been able to arrange automatic courtesy cars whenever my car had to go in for service or repairs!
Nothing has changed ,health wise, and there was no explanation as to why they dropped me from a 3 year licence to a 1 year, nor has there been any explanation as to why they have put me back up to a 3 year ‘deal’?
