A bridge is unfeasible. It’s already been calculated it would be closed by weather 120 days in a year. A tunnel would need to be 3 times deeper than the channel tunnel and the needed road and rail connections aren’t anywhere near close enough at either end.
But then what’s £20 billion when we’ve wasted £22 billion on Track and Trace with no discernable benefit and another £15 billion is going to be thrown at it.
