I have driven an iD3 recently and I liked the way it pulled up to 50-60 mph, after that it was sluggish and the braking was strange to say the least, while it handled normal driving just fine it did seem a little crash and bump over rougher road conditions and you could really feel the weight when trying to corner at anything over a leisurely pace provoking copious amounts of dreary understeer, the regen mode was very very good and like having 1 pedal mode, the touch controls were awful to use with any kind of accuracy and made doing anything extremely distracting, overall not a bad car just not brilliant and certainly not an entertaining thing to drive. I’m sure others will love it but anybody that says they like the touch controls is telling porkies!
The braking has been commented upon by some of the reviewers, and a lot of EVs have “strange” braking. The PSA group EVs have the braking feeling exactly like an ICEs braking which is great but the drawback in these is efficiency of the regen.
As for touch controls, yes I have them in the e-2008 & they’re awful, luckily the e-2008 also has those piano keys for some important functions, but it tries to compensate by having strange ways of displaying EV specific info in the most useless way possible.
