Useful, now people will know what I’m on about when I talk about using an RFID card to start a Type 2 Mode 3 post…. I’ll explain further:
Park up at a charge charge post run by a company such as BP Pulse at an ASDA supermarket, connect the Type 2 Mode 3 cable to the car, then hold your BP Pulse card (was Polar) over the RFID card reader on the charge post (this may offer a 3 pin socket first so wait for the Type 2), open the 7kW port & plug your Type 2 Mode 3 cable into the charge post. If you’re really lucky then a charge will initiate.
Seriously, after doing this once or twice it becomes second nature & is extremely easy, just follow the instructions.
