Hmmm… Bit chunky and macho-looking for me, particularly around the front. The current model, which I have, was macho enough; slightly off-putting but I don’t buy on looks. Power-to-weight ratio and handling more important to me. I take it the Cooper S air-intake on bonnet is still blocked off and only there for looks. Silly and wasteful. IMHO the bump- and scoop-free simpler versions have a clean, well-balanced set of lines. All these boy-racer, look-at-me bits spoil it.
BMW would have done better to update the so-called adjustable suspension so that it really IS adjustable to what a driver wants and not simply On or Off. Could also put the vroomy noise generator on a switch so it can be silenced and have the option of 16″ wheels for the Cooper S (the 17″ ones don’t help the ride).
