this time last year i rang about the possibility of changing my car early as my back was worse and getting in/out was getting very difficult. the lease was due to run until sept 20 so really only 7 months left.
i was considering the arona or a juke as i would need it to be 0 ap or as close as i could get thinking i wouldnt have a gcb or the auto grant a usually get being wpms.
anyway i was delighted when they not only agreed there and then but the early cancellation fee was only £50 and that i would get a prorata gcb and a refund prorata of my previous ap. but as i thought i couldnt have the auto grant as you can only have one every three years.
it all meant i would have £500 towards an ap which made a huge difference and meant along with a dealer discount of £500 i could get a mini countryman cooper s auto exclusive with the comf/nav pack and still had change.
all sorted in 10 minutes on the phone and i picked it up in march just before the first lockdown.
so pleased it happened as it did as the way things have worked out ive no idea if i would have been able to change on time in september.
basic advice, if you dont ask you dont get lol.
just ring them whatever it is.
