Yes, Oscarmax, it’ll take some getting use to!! Plus for me I don’t have off road parking, so would have to rely on the council putting charging points nearby.
I am fortunate having my own drive so charge up with Octopus off peak 50 pence for a full charge, as you doing such low mileage local journey and no access to a home charging point I would seriously consider a Hybrid such as a Honda CRV or a Toyota RAV4, my disabled neighbour has a RAV4 and regularly achieves high 40 to 50 mpg.
The best you will achieve with a large PHEV without a dedicated home EV charging point approximately 36/38mpg
