Hi Oscarmax, thanks for that. What has been your general experience with the Outlander ie comfort, economy, reliability and 4×4 system etc?
We find the Outlander ride and seating extremely comfortable, if you looking for a SUV this is not for you, it handles much better than our Honda CRV, but not quite as well as our previous Ford Kuga.
We tow a 1500kg caravan we find the Outlander PHEV tows as well as the Ford Kuga 2.0 diesel powershift with similar mpg which was a bit of a surprise achieving around 28mpg. To date our average mpg over the passed 6 months (3650 miles which includes towing a caravan for approximately 900 miles) 80mpg, our Ford Kuga would have achieved 36mpg
We are probably the perfect PHEV owners we have a PodPoint 32amp EV charger, our energy supplier Octopus Energy, we are the Go tariff 5 pence a kW, we charge up at night for 50 pence for a full charge, in the better weather it last 32/33 miles, in the winter with the heater on 16/20 miles, we recently travelled a 72 mile journey with the heater on which entailed using the car engine, however we still achieved around 80mpg.
Reliability it is bullet proof.
4×4 it is excellent in the snow, every thing is automatic.
