one of the main complaints is about rust along the seams & lack of wheel arch covers (you can buy these).
Thanks, Gothitjulie. The lack of wheelarch covers is probably down to cost-saving but potential rust is completely unacceptable on a brand new car.
Yes, it feels like it’s the 1980s British rustbucket cars all over again, I really thought we’d moved beyond those times unless you bought an Alfa. The salt air pervasive in our maritime climate isn’t compatible with these cars although the Chinese will learn quickly enough when their cars are held up as rust buckets & death traps, they’re not incapable of learning unlike the Germans who invent software cheats to hide legality problems.
Legacy fossil car makers now have major problems, there are other non fossil car manufacturers bringing in EVs without having the legacy of pension schemes, ancient fossil engine production lines, etc., & they’ve been hiding the problems rather than solving them for the last decade. Looking around generally if you wanted to set up a company, now is the time to do it, all those companies with debts from COVID won’t be able to react to stop you undercutting them, they are fossils & are essentially extinct.
