I think it was;1983 My first car was Datsun cherry I think W reg I was 17 it was 3. years old 30000 miles on the clock , back then you were allowed 10k a year mileage I bought the car through motability. You still got free road tax but I had to pay everything else myself mot ,insurance tyres ect .you paid all your allowance then but the car was yours after three years , so the car was then 6 years old at the end . Yes the car was yours but it wasn’t worth much , but looking back I don’t think you save much if anything at all.
next one I did the same v cavalier three years old ect ect .
I then moved on to my first motability lease my first new car Peugeot 205
and iv been leasing ever since
