    If it were a normal lease, choice would only be constrained by an ability to pay. You can understand why, given a hostile press, choice is limited. It does make it a pain choosing. There is nothing wrong with raising the cap. It means all disabled people have a choice of a vehicle, and those with the means to pay extra can spend their own money to widen their choice.We don’t live in an equal society.

    Motability caved in. Of course if they had not, everyone might have been rolling around in the most basic of models. Given the hostility to benefits of any kind from some quarters. Maybe if we all changed the label, ‘Disabled’ and used the term ‘Banker’ there would be no problem.
