Recently I watched Robert Llewellyn’s review of the Vauxhall Corsa EV on YouTube and he explained his theory on why it is so expensive. He thinks that Vauxhall want to slow down the sale of EV’s by keeping the prices high. He also spoke a bit about battery cost and how much the cost has come down compared to (I think) ten years ago. Now, I’ve got no idea if that’s true but it is something to think about

This has always been my theory. Most manufacturers have thousands of stock vehicles in diesel and petrol format built or being built plus they want to milk the cash cow for every cent before the inevitable happens and we all switch to EV or maybe hydrogen power. I know batteries are expensive to produce at the moment but no EV on the market at the moment warrants the high price in my view.
