No Azzy, they weren’t buying Mitsubishi, which is a huge company, they were looking to link up with Colt, who import Mitsubishis into the UK.
Don’t know if you’re old enough to remember the Colt Sapporo, Galant etc in the 1970s. They originally were known as Colts.
