What’s more interesting is that Hyundai’s Kona batteries are currently in the news for going on fire, & there’s a massive dispute between Hyundai & their battery supplier.
SOH in the Kia/Hyundai’s usually comes up at 100% because the real capacity of the battery is quite a bit larger than the advertised capacity.
For anyone who has a Kia Soul EV who is now worrying about their batteries, please don’t, Kia uses a different supplier of batteries than Hyundai. However, if you have the Hyundai Kona, it’s probably best not to park it in the garage or too close to the house until the recall issue is dealt with. oh, & avoid charging to 100%.
