I think the main reason I would like an ev is the running cost mostly , yes good for the environment but I don’t think I will ever see any difference in my life. Yet motability have started to put Ev cars on but the AP is very high on most of them if you thing they get the cars vat free and the government is giving them £3000 ev grant and they are still charging £3000/£4000 for us to pay , as some one recently said to me EVs are for people with money , I sort of agree with them because manufacturers are starting at they’re more expensive range . Maybe I’m being a bit cynical.
You are right about the running cost despite running a heavy Outlander PHEV which is no were as efficient as a EV we have covered 497 miles all less than 30 mile journey over the last 6 week £5.79 and yes that does include use the PHEV electric heating.
I never bother about all the politics I would be always be shot down in flames, I just concentrate on the balance sheet bottom line, the AP and running cost over the 3 year lease.
Unfortunately I have suffered a brain injury and occasionally I get confused and often say the wrong thing.
