I glimpsed a bit of ‘Auto Mundial’ today on ITV4 and they had the VW ID4 on there saying its more than likely to be a replacement for the Tiguan. Wasn’t a full review in anyway but it did strike me as a possible EV for carrying a fully assembled pavement scooter and hoist and they said size wise its halfway between the current Tiguan and the All-Space ICE versions and that sounds right up my street. No prices mentioned that I noticed but can imagine the starting price for base model will be way beyond the Motability price ceiling even if I could afford the AP but time will tell.
Its the car i was really waiting for as we love our current Tiguan. But looking at the pricing for the ID3 i cannot ever see the ID4 coming onto the scheme as your looking at an EV in the price region of the Tesla model 3 and thats around 45k to 50k not to mention the BHP will be well over 200.
