The problem with resale value of hoists, being a hoist/scooter user myself, being a Motability customer its so much easier for me just to renew the hoist when the car gets renewed.
Two years ago on my last change over the hoist cost me £190 and that comes with 3 years unlimited guarantee though that said the current price is about £245 but still a bargain in the scheme of things when its keeping me mobile.
That’s leaves you with a very limited private market but they reckon there’s a million disable folk who do not use Motability even though they qualify so there is a market but finding it is another matter.
If you look on the Motability website they have there somewhere a list of Motability hoist installers and ringing a local one to your location they would give some good free advice I’m sure on if there’s any value in the hoist or just removing it.
