    Croydon is a wonderful place, there’s the Ecotricity chargers at IKEA which have no CCS and are all out of order anyway…. an excellent example of how bad Ecotricity are.

    One of the Polar chargers at Q-Park is working, the other isn’t.

    The Geniepoint at Morrisons is working fine.

    Then there are a few Ubitricity 5kW lamppost points, no-doubt all ICEd.

     

    OK, I see your point, it’s a problem, & the Council won’t be spending anything as they’re facing a black hole in their finances.

    Currently, if you can charge at home on a driveway or in your own garage you’re good to go, else you’ll be waiting for councils etc., to catch up with the 21st century. And perhaps to show just how bad it is, my current half-hour rate for electricity is 6.28p/kWh, under 2p per mile. Some of the 5kW chargers in Croydon cost 29p/kWh.
