Rox, thankyou for the clear info there, that’s brilliant. Is motability worthwhile in the long term? We had a 4×4 in 2014 and wished we had purchased it at the end of lease….chose to buy our own car privately afterwards, it wasn’t practicable for myself which is why I have gone for a slighter bigger than hatchback sized this time. I may consider purchasing at the end of lease but that’s quite far off to think about yet. x
No problem at all, for me the best part about the scheme is the peace of mind it gives me and the reliability a new car brings. Pretty much 99.99% of the time it’s hassle free motoring for a fixed fee and no surprises and that was the worst knowing my car would need work at some point or could breakdown etc and it would be unforseen costs and often then i’d be without a car for a little bit. Now i don’t worry about that at all and it helps me alot..
What price can you put on that..
Really i got no intrest in buying the car after 3 years and i treat it as such. although in some case’s i would be tempted to buy it. Maybe this time because of covid mileage will be super low and i will buy it keep it for 6 months then sell it and rejoin the scheme..or in your case you have gotten alot of extras at your own added cost. then it makes sence if one can afford to buy it. but they will want the whole amount they value it at and a lot of people just cannot afford to do that..
