    Hi Anth. You might like to consider the larger Skodas. The Octavia and Superb are relatively low to the floor (ie not tank-height SUVs); the are very comfortable and, with the addition of the dynamic traction control (DCC) extra, very adaptable. The DCC gives you the option of an individual set of factors like throttle response, suspension stiffness and, importantly for you, how much turning force is needed on the steering wheel. I’ve had two Superbs and found them ultra reliable, easy and enjoyable to drive and with acres of space – just perfect for a big senior dog! AS ever, go find one, take a look and a test drive.
